The hearth
In ancient Greece, Hestia was the goddess of the home — the sacred fire at the centre of every house and every city, which must never go out. Around it gathered the family, the community, life itself.
Our name, GENESTIA, joins two words: GEN — regeneration, creation, root — and HESTIA — the home, the hearth, the centre. We believe that every village, every farm, every abandoned public space still keeps a hearth: a fire that has dimmed but not died. Our work is to light it again.
Our principles
From the ground up. Regeneration is not imposed; it is born from the community. Decisions belong to those who live in the place. Rooted and connected. Each hearth is unique and autonomous, but no one works alone. The network multiplies the strength of every place. Tradition and innovation together. We respect the knowledge of generations and marry it with new technology — not one against the other, but one through the other. Sustainability in practice. We don’t talk about sustainability; we live it, demonstrate it, teach it.
